Today is celebrated as the birthday of Shri Tanguturi Prakasham Pantulu (23/08/1972 to 20/05/1957), who served as the first chief minister of the State of Andhra Pradesh in India. He was also known as Andhra Kesari i. e. Lion of Andhra. He was also a famous lawyer.
